Members of the Xenia Altrusa Club came together recently to demonstrate their support for Xenia Community Schools.

Members of the club have a long history of contributing school supplies to the District. This year, a number of members gathered at the school supply donation event to contribute a variety of essential items.

The local Altrusa members recognize the efforts of every Xenia school employee, annually, by providing a small gift during American Education Week in November. The club is also active in supporting the X-Out Hunger Backpack Cuisine Program. Additionally the group donates topic appropriate books during Black History month each year.

In addition, Altrusa maintains reading materials in three other locations that operate like Little Free Libraries but cannot qualify as such because they are not open to the general public. Current libraries are located in Parkers General Store, TCN Behavioral Health Services and One Bistro. Another is near completion at the local Fish Pantry.
